After a hectic birthday weekend these past few days, I’ve barely been able to raise my head from the pillow without getting a bad case of the spins. But luckily, my headphones have a really long extension cord, so I was still able to scrape up some new music for you guys. ;)
Enjoy, this week’s edition of Music Mondays.

Nas is back. Or better yet, he never left…..Seriously, this man is a legend. Not only did he drop one of the last generation’s instant classics in Illmatic, he has also became a propnent of a more educated urban-class, with his role in films like Belly. Short put, Nas is the man. Peep him here in his new music video, which could’ve earned its place on the Swag Section just through visuals alone. Add to that Nas’ OG flow, and you have yourself another instant classic.

Lil’ Wayne has decided to put the skateboard down and recognize that he’s a rapper again. Well….sort of. Wayne is back to singing on the microphone, but with the decided image change that he has been undergoing (Trukfit, really?), I guess we can’t say we didn’t see it coming. But this tune here is actually pretty catchy, and it endorses a theme that I like a lot, partying. So check out Lil’ Wayne’s Celebrate and let us know what you think in the comments below.

And next, my favorite, my wifey, Ms. Lana Del Rey. You might recognize this starlet from last month’s Obsession of the Month feature, and she has been buzzing the music scene ever since. Now, DOPE Couture has sponsored an official mixtape that combines up Lana Del Rey’s Born To Die and The Notorious B.I.G.’s classic Ready To Die. This is an absolutely genius mashup, and since Del Rey pesonally cited Biggie as one of her biggest musical influences, it just seems like it was meant to be. Check out Born Ready to Die below.
M-G-K. This motherfucker is crazy, yo. The kid just turned 22, and he’s already partying with the likes of Mystikal, Yo Gotti, and Steve-O? This kid will be dead in 2 years. Anyway, check him out in this suprisingly awesome music video, that not only features every rapper featured in the remix (from the likes of 2 Chainz to Mystikal)but a few noteworthy cameos as well. (Look out for Yeezy, Steve Aoki, and even A$AP Rocky in there)
On a side note: I think French Montana actually did his thing on this track, and for once he didn’t fuin the song. Congratulations.
