Well I told you we’d be back, and here we are with the second edition of Music Mondays! (We must really love you guys, huh?) This week, we have new music from Trademark Da Skydiver, Shawn Crystopher, Michael Rocks, and Nina Sky. Lots of heavy hitters on this playlist, so plug it in and be sure to hit repeat.

Shawn Chrystopher – lovestory.

This is a guy that we don’t hear from often. Shawn Chrystopher is a sort of underground phenomenon; having been sponsored by heavy hitters like XBOX and LRG for previous tapes, Shawn has managed to kill the hip-hop scene while somehow remaining anonymous to the industry. I became a big fan of Chrys after last year’s mixtape Silent Films For The Blind, which I deemed a solid effort for a relatively unknown artist. Now Shawn is back with lovestory., a loftily titled theme-album that could give most albums on the shelf a run for their money. This mixtape has absolutely flawless production, and features intro’s and outro’s that will make you feel like you are in the mind of Shawn Chrys himself. Shawn continues to flex his lyrical ability on this one as well, with a flow that is halfway between A$AP Rocky and Tyga, but so much tighter. I don’t know how this guy isn’t signed yet. Check out Shawn Chrystopher’s lovestory. above. Shawn Chrys bitch.
Sir Michael Rocks – Lap Of Lux
You guys might remember us featuring Sir Michael Rocks on Music Mondays a while back with his last mixtape, Premier Politics 1.5. Well now the former Cool Kids front man is back with has latest project Lap of Lux. This one starts up with a stellar Lana Del Rey “Video Games” sample (we’re kind of obsessed with her, if you haven’t noticed), and continues to bump through bass-ey chill tracks til’ the tapes 15th track. Standout tracks include “Reservation” and “Great” featuring Mac Miller and Casey Veggies. The subject matter is pretty close to what the title entails, and Mr. Rocks does not disappoint this time around. Really feeling the artwork on this one – check out Lap of Lux above.
Nina Sky - Natasha & Natalie

It’s been a while since we heard form our favorite musical twins (no, we’re not talking about Teagan & Sara), and now we’re glad to announce that Nina Sky is back in action. After a few label fallouts, and a breakthrough hit back in the early 00′s (anyone remember this one?), Nina Sky have done scant in the music department, aside from a couple of collaborations with guys such as Action Bronsolino. But now they are back with their newest free album, Natasha & Natalie, and the two have completely revised their sounds. These two have the perfect voice for electric music in my opinion, and this is evident as the album goes from the upbeat EDM tunes of “Heartbeat”, to the moody, soulful crooning that goes over “Never Kissed You.” The two absolutely sound great together, and I’m glad that they decided to give this project away for free. Also, the album artwork on this one is absolutely; I love the dichotomy that is presented as the two artists are lined up side by side, their differences evident in their styles despite their exactly identical appearance. Check out the mystery that is Natasha & Natalie above.
