This guy Frank Ocean is ridiculous. Last week, he informally “came out” to the entire world, admitting that his first crush was a man, in a rambling letter that was released digitally over the Internet. Now, amidst all of the celebrity buzz that this confession has afforded him, he’s decided to release his hotly awaited album Channel Orange on iTunes a week early, and offer it for free streaming as well. Like we said, Ridiculous. Not that we are really complaining though, that just means we get to hear the album a week early. (That Jimmy Fallon performance last night must have awarded him a real confidence boost.)
