So recently Chinese retailer ETrade Supply surfaced the new body for the much-anticipated iPhone 5. Video of the design reveals it to have a much larger screen, and a new metallic, unibody design. The new screen (4″ compared to 3.5″ for the iPhone 4) is likely to allow the iPhone to compete with the increasing trend of “tablet phones”. Other noteworthy design canges would be a new headphone jack (now located on the bottom rather than the top), a redesigned docking port with a smaller head, and a new speaker grill. These could all be completely fabricated designs, as no one Apple has confirmed they are real. However, if this new design is legitimate, iPhone fanboys could see the release of the iPhone 5 as early as September of this year, with worldwide distribution starting around October. Just in time for the holiday season. Even after his death, Steve Jobs is one smart man.
